Reminder: Cyber Security Seminar this Wednesday

At the request of SCOCIA, Constable Mark Herman’s High-Tech Crimes Unit will be presenting their Internet Safety Course to SCO parents and their children ages 12 and up.  This free presentation is tailored to parents/guardians and their children with age-appropriate information regarding device security, online solicitation, online predators, cyberbullying and other relevant topics. Under Constable Herman, this presentation has been provided to over 40k kids and adults since its inception in 2010.

*Sgt. Jeff Lee will be presenting the course.  He is a 22-year veteran law enforcement officer, with over twelve years’ experience in the arena of Cybercrime. He possesses a Master Peace Officer certificate and Cybercrimes Certification through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. A product of Klein High School (1993), he also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law Enforcement and Police Science from Sam Houston State University (1997). He’s the author of Online Predators: An Internet Insurgency–A Field Manual for Parenting and Educating in the Digital Arena.”
