SCO Residents: the fireworks show for the evening of July 3rd is still scheduled to take place. There have been no restrictions for fireworks provided by the County as of Wednesday June 29th and we are anticipating some much-needed rain leading up to the weekend. As always, we will have Klein Fire Department at the show to monitor conditions. We will notify the neighborhood of any changes as soon as they are made. However, we would take this opportunity to ask that residents use discretion with the use of fireworks. The lack of rainfall over the past month has resulted in unusually dry conditions this year, which increases the potential for unintended fires. We would also remind residents that the use of fireworks on any SCO community property is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to parking areas, tennis courts, fields, and esplanades. Please be respectful of neighbors and residents by limiting the use of fireworks in the late evening as we have many young children (and pets) in the neighborhood. Finally, please make sure that all used fireworks are completely extinguished (preferably with water) and please clean up all residual fireworks after use. We hope that residents (and guests) will attend the festivities on the evening of July 3rd, as this is always a fun time in our neighborhood. Happy Independence Day!
