SCO TENNIS COURT USAGE RULES 

June 7, 2009  

Court Play  

1.  SCO tennis courts are available for residents and their accompanied guests.  
2.  SCO tennis courts are used primarily on a walk on basis and are not reserved for individual recreational play. 
3.  Court hours are from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm. 
4.  A 1 ½ hour time limit is in effect when others are waiting for a court. 

Court Reservations  

1.  Courts may be reserved for organized activities for residents and their accompanied guests for periods longer than the 1 ½ hour limit by contacting the Court Scheduler whose name appears on the SCO website and at the Clubhouse 2 bulletin board.

2.  Resident scheduled activities take priority in scheduling courts, with leagues taking precedence
 

3.  Court reservation is based upon availability of courts. 
 
 
4.  Reservations not made 24 hours prior to desired court usage will be considered walk-on play.  

5.  Recurring activities should be scheduled through the Court Scheduler at courtscheduler@springcreekoaks.org. 

6.  League Reservations must be renewed each season.

7. The Court Reservations are posted on the SCO tennis calendar. Reservations should be made through
the court scheduler at

8.  A resident may sponsor a tennis activity for non residents such as schools and fundraising entities.   Such sponsored activities must be approved by both the Tennis Committee and SCOCIA Board.  Usage fees will be charged to any outside party on a case by case basis depending on amount of courts, duration of use, etc.  

Instructional Use of Courts 

1. Residents may arrange to receive instruction on the courts at their discretion. 
2Any instructional activity must be initiated by residents or the SCO Tennis Committee and may include accompanied guests. 
3. Instructors must be solicited independently, and will not be considered an employee of SCOCIA.  
4. No instructor will be allowed exclusivity of the tennis courts in Spring Creek Oaks. 

Court Security  

1.  Courts are to remain locked. Residents are responsible for locking courts each time after their play is finished. 
2.  Residents may obtain keys with a refundable deposit through the tennis committee.  Keys are numbered and remain the property of SCOCIA and are to remain in the possession of the person to whom it is issued.
 

General Court Use

Spring Creek Oaks sponsored Tennis Leagues 

1.  Any SCO resident wishing to join one of the SCO League teams should communicate their interest to a member of the tennis committee as listed in the SCOOP, on the SCO website (www.springcreekoaks.org), and at the bulletin board at Clubhouse 2.   
2. Guidelines covering team play can be found in the League Guidelines which will be revised as needed under the direction of the Tennis Committee. 
 
 
These rules are effective June 6, 2009 and can only be amended through authority of the SCO Tennis Committee and adoption by the SCOCIA board. 

By ruling of the SCOCIA Board, any resident that is not current with payment of SCO maintenance fees will NOT be allowed court privileges or participation on any SCO League team.
